A Lifeline for the Homeless and Vulnerable
Learn More About Somewhere to Go
At Somewhere to Go, we are committed to supporting rough sleepers and vulnerable adults. Our dedicated team provides services 365 days a year, offering a lifeline to those in need.
Our mission is to ensure that everyone who comes through our doors receives the care and support they need to move forward. We believe that every person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to rebuild their life, regardless of their circumstances.

Make a Difference
A hand up, not a hand out

Somewhere to Go offers shelter from the elements for some of the most vulnerable in our community. Somewhere to connect, a place to belong. We’re open from 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday and 9am-4pm Saturday and Sunday.

We are so grateful for donations either money, clothes, toiletries, sleeping bags and much more. It costs thousands of pounds to run our centre, we can only do it with your help!

Our charity shop is open from 9:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Saturday and closed on Sundays. We’re always on the look out for donations of clothes, bric-a-brac and furniture as well as volunteers to help us run the shop and sort donations.

We often rely on the generosity of local retailers and businesses to donate food. We can only provide daily meals for the most disadvantaged members with this assistance.
Transforming Lives
We have many volunteering opportunities, all of which help us support people who are homeless, vulnerable or experiencing disadvantages.
We are proud to have provided learning opportunities to a number of volunteers:
- Cooking and culinary skills for large groups
- Social care and working with vulnerable people
- Retail experience in our expanding charity shop
- Communication, companionship and support work

"I am helping my community in a small way especially the people who need our help the most. Meeting so many lovely service users and other volunteers and the staff."

"I dropped off donations a few times and decided to offer my help. Working part-time meant I could spare some of my time. For anyone considering volunteering, give it a try you’ll be made very welcome."
Volunteer for over 9 years
"I lost my paid employment during covid, so decided to help people less fortunate than myself. Volunteering helped me prepare to get back to work and I now have a job."
